You will be responsible for developing a new public-facing website hosted on WordPress, supporting the development of features on internal web properties, as well migrating and archiving existing content. You will:
Education: You have a bachelor’s degree in web development, IT, or a related field. In addition, you have five years of relevant experience. You have established experience and knowledge in programming applications with a minimum of five years’ experience with web applications, website redesign, and website UX/UI optimization. You are proficient in Microsoft Office, JavaScript, jQuery HTML, CSS, WordPress, AWS or Azure, SQL, NoSQL, Node.JS, JSON, API, C++, and basic graphic design/layout skills. Experience with SSO & API integration with leading Identity and Access Management solutions. Experience with writing code that scales and adapts to mobile devices (i.e., mobile responsive codes).
Organizational skills: You can multi-task and prioritize and have strong organizational skills. Your proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a highly challenging environment is your superpower.
Communication skills: You have strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills and can handle requests and complaints in a professional, non-confrontational manner. You have excellent follow-up and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make intuitive decisions. You have discretion and can handle sensitive information and material appropriately. You have demonstrated the ability to develop and express ideas and processes with a high degree of independent judgement.
Attention to detail: Precision, accuracy, and high attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Team-oriented: Ability to work effectively independently as well as with a team.
Background check: a clear Criminal Background check is required to start. If you have resided outside Calgary in the past 12 months, you will need to contact the local police or RCMP detachment in your previous residential municipality to be able to obtain a full report.
