Are you looking for a doctor for you or your family? Some of our CWC PCN physician members are accepting new patients. There are several ways for you to find a family doctor:
The Primary Care Centre located near Chinook Centre acts as a temporary transition clinic (or medical home) for patients currently seeking a permanent family physician. It is an appointment-based clinic that does not see patients on a long-term basis. Visiting patients without a family doctor are directed to the Patient Web Registry and given a list of physicians in our service area who are currently accepting patients. The Primary Care Centre is open weekdays from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. and 1 - 4 p.m. on weekends and holidays. For a referral to the Primary Care Centre, please contact Health Link at 811.
In partnership with other provincial Primary Care Networks, the CWC PCN offers an online tool that allows patients to search for doctors accepting patients or register to be matched with a family physician in their geographic area. The site also offers information on Primary Care Networks in Alberta. Visit albertafindadoctor.ca or, if you have immediate health needs, call Health Link at 811..
The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta also has a physician search tool that will enable you to find a physician directly.
